Job description

As eCommerce Marketplace Coordinator you will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of products on the various platforms Pricecheck manages with an initial focus on Amazon FBA, ensuring optimal performance and driving growth. This is a newly created opportunity, reporting directly to the Head of eCommerce and working with the rest of the team. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage vendor relationships, and implement strategies to enhance the overall marketplace experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Marketplace strategy & growth: develop and implement a strategic plan to drive marketplace growth and achieve revenue targets.  Identify new business opportunities, trends, and emerging technologies to stay ahead in the competitive landscape.  Continuous commercial awareness to ensure profitability and drive pricing strategies.
  • Vendor management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential vendors. Negotiate terms, agreements, and contracts with vendors. Evaluate vendor performance and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Product and Content Management: Oversee product listings involving calculating product commercials to ensure profitability, creating accurate and compelling product descriptions, images, and other relevant content. Implement strategies to expand product offerings and maintain a diverse and high-quality product catalogue.
  • User Experience and Conversion Optimisation: Enhance the overall user experience of the marketplace. Analyse user behaviour, conversion rates, and other metrics to optimise the platform for increased customer satisfaction and sales.
  • Marketing & Promotion: Working with the Marketing team, develop and execute marketing strategies to promote the marketplace, increase visibility and attract new customers, as well as implementing promotional campaigns and special events.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Using data analytics tools to track KPIs and provide regular reporting on marketplace performance.  Identify trends, insights and areas for improvement based on data analysis.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels to ensure products are consistently available for purchase without the risk of overstocking.
  • Operational Management: Continuous improvement and optimisation of processes to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Advertising: Oversee the optimisation of PPC accounts & advertising campaigns.
  • Ad-hoc tasks as required to support the needs of the team and wider company.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a eCommerce Marketplace Coordinator or related role.

  • Previous experience with Amazon FBA/FBM, eBay and/or Onbuy.

  • Strong understanding of eCommerce, online marketplaces, and industry trends.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Adaptability and willingness to learn about new products, marketplaces and industry trends.

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Confident communicator (written and verbal) – transfer information with clarity with cross-functional teams and asks questions.

  • Proactive, driven and entrepreneurial – willing to seek growth opportunities and solutions when required.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office (Word, Outlook etc.), and inventory/database systems.
