Junior Account Manager - Linguist
Job description
Are you fluent in another language and excited by the idea of using it in a commercial, international setting? Do you enjoy building relationships and thrive on the challenge of hitting targets?
We’re looking for bright, motivated linguists – whether recent graduates or individuals at a similar level – who are ready to take their first step into a sales career. If you’re commercially curious, organised, and confident communicating across cultures, this could be the perfect opportunity to get started.
This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in the full sales cycle – from business development and negotiation to account management. You’ll rotate across the sales floor to build a solid understanding of our international operations, before being paired with an experienced International Account Manager. Together, you’ll help grow a shared territory, developing new opportunities and strengthening existing relationships.
While the use of your language skills will depend on business needs, we value them highly and they could play a key part in your role as you progress.
What you’ll be doing

Building and maintaining strong customer relationships across multiple markets
Identifying new business opportunities and supporting business growth
Conducting research into customer needs and market trends
Developing your commercial knowledge and understanding of the FMCG industry
Reporting to the Senior Sales Support team with key updates

What we’re looking for
Essential:
Fluency or high proficiency in a second language
A strong desire to start a career in sales or account management
Entrepreneurial attitude and enthusiasm for building relationships
Motivated by results, with a willingness to take initiative
Commercially aware and quick to adapt
Excellent communication skills – written and spoken
Well-organised with a keen eye for detail
Confident managing multiple priorities under pressure
A team player who can also work independently
Competent in Microsoft Office
Desirable:
Experience living or working abroad
Understanding of or interest in the FMCG sector
What’s in it for you
Achievable sales bonus based on business growth and account performance
Company-wide bonus scheme celebrating team success
Hybrid and flexible working options
Westfield Health Cash Plan for day-to-day well-being
Exclusive discounts with hundreds of retailers
Enhanced employer pension contributions
Genuine opportunities to grow and progress within a supportive, international business
If you're a linguist looking to bring your skills into a fast-paced, commercial environment, we’d love to hear from you.
